Thigh Lift in Turkey

Smoother Legs. Firmer Skin. Renewed Confidence.

If you feel self-conscious about sagging skin or excess fat around your thighs — especially after weight loss — you’re not alone. Many patients struggle with loose inner or outer thigh tissue that can’t be corrected with diet and exercise alone.

That’s where a Thigh Lift comes in. Also known as thighplasty, this body contouring procedure removes excess skin and fat from the upper legs, leaving you with tighter, smoother, and more sculpted thighs. Whether your goal is to wear shorts, dresses, or swimwear with confidence — or simply feel more comfortable in your own skin — a thigh lift can make a lasting difference.

At Clinic Phaselis, based in Antalya, Turkey, we’ve performed countless thigh lifts for patients seeking effective, long-term results in a safe and supportive setting.

What Is a Thigh Lift and How Does It Work?

A Thigh Lift reshapes the thighs by surgically removing loose skin and stubborn fat that has developed due to ageing, major weight loss, or genetics. The procedure can be done on:

  • The inner thigh (medial thigh lift), where an incision is made from the groin and extends downward and sometimes around the back of the thigh
  • The outer thigh (lateral thigh lift), where the incision runs from the groin around the top of the hip and toward the back of the leg

If excess fat is present, liposuction can be combined with the lift to achieve even more defined contours.

Our goal is to restore a firmer, more youthful shape — so your thighs look toned, proportionate, and comfortable in any outfit.

What Are the Benefits of a Thigh Lift?

Many of our patients choose thigh lift surgery to regain confidence in their appearance, especially after major body transformations. Benefits include:

  • Smoother, tighter leg contours
  • Improved confidence in clothing, swimwear, and social situations
  • Reduction of chafing, irritation, or sagging skin
  • Long-lasting results with a stable weight and healthy lifestyle
  • Visible transformation within weeks — with full results in a few months

While scars are permanent, they are carefully placed to be discreet and fade over time. Most patients say it’s a small trade-off for the emotional and physical freedom they gain.

FAQ

A thigh lift, also known as thighplasty, is a cosmetic procedure designed to remove excess skin and fat from the inner or outer thighs. It is especially effective for patients who have lost significant weight and are left with sagging skin or stubborn fat in the thigh area. The result is smoother, more toned legs that improve your body contour and self-confidence.

You may be a suitable candidate if you:

  • Have loose or sagging skin on your thighs
  • Are at a stable weight and in good general health
  • Struggle with areas that don’t improve through diet and exercise
  • Have lost a significant amount of weight
  • Are not planning major weight fluctuations

Older adults experiencing mild to moderate skin laxity can also benefit from the procedure.

Liposuction targets fat, while a thigh lift removes excess skin and fat.

  • If you have good skin elasticity, liposuction alone may be enough
  • If you have sagging skin after weight loss, a thigh lift is more appropriate
  • Often, liposuction is combined with thigh lift surgery for optimal contouring

A mini thigh lift is a less invasive version of a traditional thigh lift. It involves a smaller incision near the groin and is ideal for patients with mild to moderate sagging in the upper inner thigh area. Recovery is often quicker, and scarring is more limited.

The placement of scars depends on the type of thigh lift:

  • Inner thigh lift: vertical incision along the inner thigh, often extending from groin to knee
  • Outer thigh lift: incision starts at the groin and wraps around the hip
  • Mini thigh lift: small horizontal incision near the groin

Scars will fade significantly over time. Clinic Phaselis provides guidance and aftercare support to help minimize their appearance.

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia, so there is no pain during surgery. After surgery, some swelling, bruising, and discomfort are normal. These are managed effectively with pain medications and post-operative care.

  • A compression garment will be worn for 3 to 4 weeks to control swelling
  • Surgical drains may be placed and removed after 2–3 days
  • Light walking should begin within 24 hours to prevent blood clots
  • You may resume normal activities within a few days
  • Avoid strenuous activity for 4–6 weeks
  • Pain, bruising, and swelling are normal for the first 2–4 weeks

Most patients can return to work in 10 to 14 days, depending on their level of activity and job demands. Driving is usually safe after 5 to 7 days, once mobility and reaction times have improved.

You can shower after your surgical drains are removed, typically within the first few days. Wash gently, avoid soaking the incisions, and do not use hot water. Baths, pools, and hot tubs should be avoided until fully healed.

It is recommended to wear a compression garment for at least 3 to 4 weeks after surgery. This supports your healing, reduces swelling, and helps achieve a smoother final result.

Sleep on your back with your legs slightly elevated using pillows. Avoid sleeping on your stomach or sides during the first few weeks to reduce swelling and tension on the incisions.

You may begin light exercise or walking within a few days. However, strenuous workouts, stretching, or lifting should be avoided for 4 to 6 weeks. Your surgeon will guide you based on your recovery progress.

A thigh lift may reduce the appearance of cellulite by removing excess tissue and tightening the skin. However, it is not a dedicated cellulite treatment, and some dimpling may return over time.

Yes. Many patients choose to combine a thigh lift with procedures such as:

  • Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
  • Liposuction 360
  • Mommy Makeover

Combined surgeries can offer more comprehensive results while minimizing overall recovery time.

All surgical procedures carry some risk. Possible complications include:

  • Bleeding or infection
  • Fluid buildup (seroma)
  • Scarring or poor wound healing
  • Asymmetry or numbness

At Clinic Phaselis, we take a personalized and multidisciplinary approach to minimize risks, offering full pre-operative assessments and 100% insurance coverage for surgical complications.

You will begin to see improvements within the first few weeks, but swelling can take several months to fully resolve.Final results are typically visible around 6 months post-surgery, with continued improvement in skin tone and contour as scars fade.
